A Földön közel 4,5 milliárd ember él városokban, Magyarországon pedig kb. az emberek 70%-a, és közel 20% csak a fővárosban. De tulajdonképpen mit is jelent ma a nagyvárosban élni? Mit ad neked? Hogy tudnád leírni egy szóval vagy érzéssel? Az a rengeteg ember, hang, szín, forma, pillanat, a monumentális épületektől kezdve egészen az apró macskaköves utcákig, és mindez itt van a szemünk előtt, csak épp észre kell vennünk. Előfordulhat, hogy a szürke hétköznapokban és az impulzusok folyámában már észre sem vesszük a betondzsungel képeit, zajait és “rezgéseit”.

Ezért a Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem Könyvtára és a Corvinus Művészeti Akadémia közösen rendezi meg a City Vibes kiállítást. Milyen élni ezekben a hol kisebb hol nagyobb, hibrid szerves és szervetlen rendszertelen rendszerben? Ezt szeretnénk visszaadni ezen a kiállításon, ahova a ti alkotásaitokat várjuk. Lassítsatok le, inspirálódjatok a közvetlen környezetetekből és alkossatok! 5 kategóriában pályázhattok a részleteket a tájékoztatóban találjátok, de elöljáróban annyit:

Nearly 4.5 billion people live in cities on Earth, and in Hungary, about 70% of the population does, with almost 20% in the capital city alone. But what does it really mean to live in a big city today? What does it give you? How would you describe it in a single word or feeling? All those people, sounds, colors, forms, moments, from monumental buildings down to tiny cobblestone streets. It’s all right in front of our eyes, we just have to notice it. It can happen that in the grey dull everydays and the flow of impulses, we no longer even notice the images, noises, and “vibrations” of the concrete jungle.

This is why the Library of the Corvinus University of Budapest and the Corvinus Art Academy are organizing the City Vibes exhibition together.

What is it like to live in this sometimes smaller, sometimes larger, hybrid organic and inorganic, irregular system? This is what we want to convey at this exhibition, where we await your work. Slow down, get inspired by your close surroundings, and create!
